Commercial & Flat Roofing in Berks County, PA
Red Patch Roofing is a residential-led contractor, but flat and low-slope roofing is a real part of what we do across Berks County — commercial buildings, mixed-use properties, and the flat additions and porch roofs common on residential homes. This page is the hub for our commercial and flat-roof work. The standards are the same as our residential work: written estimates, drone documentation, honest pricing, and the 15-year Red Patch labor warranty.
What We Handle
- EPDM / Flat Roofing. Single-ply EPDM rubber membrane — the workhorse system for flat and low-slope roofs. Full systems and repairs.
- Low-slope commercial buildings. Small-to-mid commercial structures, mixed-use buildings, and property-management portfolios.
- Flat residential sections. Rear additions, sunrooms, covered porches, and low-slope sections on otherwise-pitched homes — addressed alongside the main roof when scope supports it.
- Flat-roof repair and leak diagnosis. Membrane repair, flashing, drainage and ponding issues, seam failures.
Why Flat Roofs Need a Different Approach
A flat or low-slope roof fails differently than a pitched shingle roof. Water does not run off — it sits, moves slowly, and finds the weakest seam, flashing detail, or drainage point. Installing and maintaining a flat roof well is about membrane quality, seam integrity, flashing at every penetration and edge, and proper drainage. A crew that only does pitched shingle work tends to handle flat sections poorly. We treat flat roofing as its own discipline.
